I've figured out finally what I want to come next, folks, and while I'm looking forward to it in large part, I'm also somewhat hesitant. I want to present "Strange Camp Fellows", a 4th Age Tamalarian Tale, and my most recent commercially published work in that series.
The trouble comes in when I clarify that last part. This is the most recent novel I published with one of my original publishers, Booksforabuck. If I present this novel via Substack, it isn't the same as it was for "Ganges" or either of the Kathy Potts novels, which were entirely self-produced. In this case, I would not just be undercutting myself (offering a full novel for free when it's also for retail sale online), I would also be potentially hurting Rob Preece's Booksforabuck, the book's original publisher.
I'm a very loyal man. I don't want to deny Mr. Preece potential revenue. He took a chance on me a long time ago, when everyone else was telling me to pound sand. Conversely, I want to share more stories, and I've been doing a lot of horror lately. I'd like to balance things out.
