So, a handful of folks have observed, and quite rightly so, that Substack seems to be pushing previously-known and high profile personalities on all of us in the form of our Notes feeds. While I might grumble a little at this, it IS Substack's platform and toolset, and I'm not generating any revenue for them, so I'll bite my tongue for the time being.
The hell of it is, Joseph, I never intended to write pieces like this when I joined Substack 3 years ago. I'm a genre fiction author, a small press guy. I mostly just want to tell stories. But every now and again, something like Obeidallah'a steaming word-turd lands in front of me, and I end up responding.
Can't agree with this enough. This needs to be magnified.
