I'm not a believer in trigger warnings myself, and I often quote "the author is not your babysitter"... but also, as someone with really bizarre "triggers" for my OCD I can't expect authors to know them, so it's like, 1) I handle my own issues so maybe others should try that too and 2) how am I supposed to know what to list for other people?! Some people are afraid of balloons. And anyway, sometimes a trigger warning can spoil a book. That said though, if I'm dealing directly with readers ie, beta-readers or ARC readers, I'll ask them if they need a warning and so far none have. (And everything I publish would definitely get slapped with some sort of advisory sticker on it.) I also might just put a general "for mature audiences only" or something just to set the vibe that the book is for Adults. That way I did "warn" without having to make a list.
